To love what you do and feel that it matters--how could anything be more fun?

26th Anniversary Thank you!

Dear Friends:

Twenty-six years ago Saturday (May 1, 2016) I opened my law practice. Amazing for someone who was then 13.

This past Saturday, I celebrated a birthday. As many of you know, I speak about chronological age, biological age, and wisdom age; there will be more about this another time.

This morning, Primary Day in Maryland, I was thinking about what I should write for my Annual Anniversary Letter. I am grateful, despite the negative rhetoric and the crazy amount of money being spent this election year, to live in the USA and in the State of Maryland. We have so much for which to be thankful.

This year, I just want to say “Thank you!”

Thank you for your trust and confidence. Thank you for sharing your dreams, fears, experiences, life lessons, and aspirations with me. A few years ago I had 5 generations of a family in my offices at the same time. Last week I had the privilege of holding a 6-week-old girl. Wow! Thank you for wonderful relationships, beyond the law practice, we have established too!

I have had marvelous times and I have met some truly fantastic people through my community, professional, and other organizational activities including the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Montgomery, Montgomery College, Suburban Hospital, and the Bar (Legal Bar). Last year my colleagues and I rocked during the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s Battle of the Barristers Bands & BBQ; I intend to do so again this year. Fun!

I am grateful for what has been, for what is, and for what will be.
